Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior UX/UI Designer with a strong front-end development background to join our product team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both designing and developing new features, ensuring a seamless user experience, and maintaining the high standards of our product presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Create and implement new features, improve existing ones, and ensure consistency across the product.
- Problem-Solving: Understand user problems, design and write solutions, and oversee their development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, CTO, product team, and marketing team to ensure accurate representation of the product and smooth feature rollout.
- User Experience: Enhance the look and feel of the product, ensuring it remains user-friendly and visually appealing.
- Leadership: Over time, lead and mentor other designers within the company.
Daily Tasks
- Start your day when you prefer and work until you’ve accomplished your tasks.
- Collaborate with the team on the design and development of new features.
- Push through bottlenecks and ensure timely publication of work.
- Communicate with customer support to understand and address product issues.
- Participate in monthly Zoom meetings and provide weekly written updates.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UX/UI designer.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working in SaaS.
- Comfortable using GitHub for collaboration.
- Ability to take projects from concept to completion.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
- Ability to draw elements from scratch and write UI text, labels, and descriptions.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a 100% remote team.
- Ideally based in the UK, close to Brighton, but not essential.
