About the PPI Section

The PPI Section plays a crucial role in supporting the Head of Delegation. It is responsible for maintaining and advancing political relations with Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The section is involved in:

  • Analyzing and reporting on political developments.
  • Engaging with government bodies, local authorities, civil society organizations, think tanks, and the media.
  • Supporting the Head of Delegation in his/her role as an observer to ECOWAS.

  • Ensuring EU coordination with Member States on various political, consular, migration, and security matters.

Main Tasks for Trainees

  • Assisting with the preparation of visits from the European External Action Service (EEAS) headquarters and other EU institutions.

  • Currently reside in Abuja, Nigeria, due to local health and security conditions.
  • Possess relevant qualifications in fields such as political science, international relations, law, economics, or similar disciplines.
