Global Landscapes Forum GLFx Chapter Network 2025 Overview
The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is seeking applications from local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and grassroots initiatives to join the GLFx network as local chapters. This initiative aims to support sustainable landscapes worldwide, with a particular focus on Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
About the GLFx Network
GLFx is a network designed to empower local organizations and community-led initiatives, known as GLFx chapters, to transform landscapes from the ground up. These chapters advocate for policy change and implement solutions such as planting native trees, regenerative agriculture, facilitating public dialogues, and creating community-led projects.

Selected organizations will gain access to a variety of opportunities and resources, including:
- Networking and Peer Learning: Engage with the GLFx community and GLF Charter Members for networking and peer-to-peer learning.
- Global Spotlighting: Receive support for regional and global outreach and storytelling opportunities through GLF’s events and platforms.
- Learning and Knowledge Sharing: Access tailored learning programs and connections with scientific experts.
- Funding: Participate in internal calls for proposals and access various funding and fundraising opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the GLFx network, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Type of Organization: Must be a registered local NGO, community-led initiative, grassroots initiative, or network.
- Geographical Focus: Represent and work with local communities in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
- Leadership: Led by individuals from the geographic area of the organization’s work.
- Focus Areas: Concentrate on landscape restoration and management for sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, justice, and inclusivity.
- Collaboration: Promote collaboration and partnerships among communities and landscape actors.
- Organizational Structure: Have a well-organized administrative structure capable of managing funds.
Special Considerations:
- Demonstrated experience in mobilizing actors to facilitate local action.
- A strong commitment to promoting sustainable landscapes and restoration.
- Existing partnerships and dialogues with other stakeholders in the landscape.
- A diverse team, as diversity and inclusion, will be considered during the selection process.
Expectations for Global Landscapes Forum Chapters
If selected, your organization will be expected to:
- Assign a focal point to liaise with the Global Landscapes Forum.
- Join regular meetings with the GLF team and other chapters.
- Engage with opportunities shared by the GLF team, including learning, knowledge co-creation, spotlighting, networking, and funding calls.
- Regularly update the GLF about on-the-ground activities.
- Leverage existing activities to connect people, share knowledge, develop learning opportunities, and lead action on the ground.
