About the Global Challenge
The Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge is a prestigious international competition for early-stage deep-tech startups, established in 2014. This challenge is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of deep-tech and science-based entrepreneurs from all industries. It provides a platform for startups to gain global visibility, access equity-free funding, and connect with key players in the deep tech ecosystem. Since its inception, the challenge has helped previous winners and finalists raise over $3 billion in funding.
Global Challenge Tracks
This year, the Global Challenge welcomes startups that can fit into one of the following 10 tracks:
- Aerospace
- Advanced Computing & Electronics
- Digital Health & Medical Devices
- Energy
- Environment & Biodiversity
- Food & Agriculture
- Industrial Biotech & New Materials
- Industry & Machines
- Medical Biotech & Pharmaceuticals
- Sustainable Construction & Infrastructure
Eligibility Criteria
Startups that meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Development Stage: Early-stage startups (from not yet incorporated to Series A or early commercialization stage).
- Technology Base: Startups based on new technology, a scientific discovery, or a complex engineering process.
- Scientific Validation: Must have scientific validation of their claim, a proof of concept, or a prototype in development.
- Team Size: A minimum of 2 team members.
- Independence: Not a subsidiary or spin-off of an existing company.
- Market Viability: Potential for an economically viable application within 15 years.
- Impact: Potential to make a significant impact on the targeted industry, society, or the environment.
