About the Ellison Scholars Programme
The Ellison Scholars Programme is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals from around the globe who are eager to tackle humanity’s most pressing issues. Each year, at least twenty exceptional candidates will be selected to join this prestigious programme.
As an Ellison Scholar, you will not only pursue your studies at the University of Oxford but also actively engage in innovative projects with EIT (Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine). These projects encompass the entire development pipeline, transforming research into practical solutions with a global impact.
Ellison Scholars will contribute to EIT’s initiatives by driving technological advancements to address global challenges across four key humane endeavours.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Ellison Scholars Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- University of Oxford Entry Requirements: Applicants must meet the University’s entry requirements for their chosen course.
- English Language Requirements: Applicants must meet, or be on track to meet, the University’s English language requirements for their chosen undergraduate degree.
- Secondary Education: Applicants must have, or be on track to have, a secondary education/high school leaving qualification, diploma, or certificate accepted by the University of Oxford.
- Minimum Grade Requirements: Applicants must meet, or be on track to meet, the minimum grade requirements for their chosen undergraduate degree.
- Selection Criteria: Applicants must meet the specific selection criteria of the Ellison Scholars Programme before starting their application.

- Outstanding aptitude in a subject that relates to one of EIT’s humane endeavours or projects
