Requirements
Entry is free and open to citizens from any country, but the candidate should be currently in high school, sixth-form college, or a recent graduate (2023) in Nigeria and Ghana. Applications are accepted from:
- Final Year and Penultimate High School Students
- Sixth-Form College Students
- Recent High School and Sixth-Form College Graduates (Graduation Year 2023)
Application Process
Deadline for Registration: July 21, 2024
Deadline for Essay Submission: August 19, 2024
How to Apply:
- Registration: Go to Think Canada on thinkcanadafair.com to register.
- Essay Submission:
- Participants must choose 1 out of the 4 essay topics.
- Essays must be submitted in PDF format via a Google form.
- Essays should not be longer than 1000 words (excluding diagrams, tables of data, endnotes, bibliography, or authorship declaration).
- Essays must be double-spaced with size 12 Times New Roman font.
- Essays must be saved with the participant’s full name, institution, and selected essay topic (e.g., Abraham Lincoln_Accra High School_Talents and Competition in Emerging Markets).
- The candidate’s name should NOT appear within the document itself.
- Candidates should NOT add footnotes but may add endnotes and/or a Bibliography.
- Provide the email address of an academic referee familiar with the candidate’s written academic work (a school counsellor or teacher preferred, not a relation).
Important Notes
- Ensure to submit your essay well in advance of the deadline to avoid any last-minute complications.
- Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- Submissions are accepted from the opening of registration in June.
- Your essay submission implies granting permission to use your data for processing your entry and communicating about the Awards Ceremony Dinner, academic conference, and other events and programs of Think Canada Education.
