In a heartwarming twist of fate, the heartfelt tune “Frágil,” in collaboration with Grupo Frontera, not only resonates in our ears but also claims the crown on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart (dated August 12). This monumental achievement marks Yahritza y Su Esencia’s very first No. 1 hit on any airplay chart. We caught up with the enchanting Yahritza herself, who shared, “Thank you very much with all our heart. The truth is that it is a blessing and it’s all thanks to our audience. We knew the song would be very special from the moment we started working on it with the Frontera guys, and we’re very pleased that everybody has connected so much with it. We are excited to sing it on our tour that launches Aug. 15.”

You won’t believe it, but “Frágil” gracefully dethroned Alejandro Fernández’s “No Es Que Me Quiera Ir,” thanks to a whopping 28% surge in audience impressions, amassing a staggering 8.4 million during the tracking week ending on August 3, as reported by Luminate. (“Que Me Quiera” gracefully slips to No. 3 with a 16% dip, now at 7.41 million.)

The journey of “Frágil” began with a splendid entry at No. 38 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart on July 1. The track’s enchantment couldn’t be confined, as it danced across various Billboard charts even before its radio debut, including an impressive leap onto the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 82 (May 6) and eventually peaking at No. 69. Their fruitful partnership has yielded seven consecutive top 10 hits on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, including the reigning champ “Que Vuelvas” with Carin León (January to March).
