If selected, fellows will spend three months as visiting scholars at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee in Scotland. This fellowship, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, enables participants to contribute to the UK-China Energy Dialogue through a focused research project, gaining new insights and experiences.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2025 Chevening Energy Market Reform Fellowship, applicants must:
- Commit to following all program guidelines.
- Hold a postgraduate degree or have equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Be currently employed or enrolled as a PhD candidate (excluding UK/EU or USA universities).
- Not hold dual British nationality, with some exceptions.
- Not be a current or former employee—or a relative of an employee—of His Majesty’s Government, the British Council, a sponsoring UK university, or the Association of Commonwealth Universities (within the last two years).
- Plan to return to China after the fellowship ends.
