The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan is inviting applications for its 2024 International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP). This initiative offers a unique opportunity for international researchers to intern in Taiwan, allowing them to engage with the country’s vibrant research environment and explore its strengths in science and technology.

Program Objectives:

  • Eligibility: Open to students from all countries, excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

  • Benefits: A stipend of 30,000 NTD per month

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. students currently enrolled in colleges or universities outside of Taiwan.
  • Candidates must hold foreign nationality and must not be citizens of Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau, even if they study abroad.
  • Applicants should have a focus on fields relevant to Taiwan’s key industries and research areas. Those with backgrounds in humanities and social sciences are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin, or Taiwanese is required.
  • Applicants must not be receiving financial support from other government departments.
